a social event for NAMI Massachusetts family program leaders & candidates

Our annual Tan & Plan is an opportunity for Massachusetts based Family-to-Family and Basics course leaders to gather for supper and conversation at the lake front home of one of our member families. Our Central Middlesex Family Support Group Facilitators are extended an invitation as well. We share our experiences and new ideas for supporting family members through NAMI programs and outreach. We consider volunteer pairings for the upcoming fall sessions and discuss current events in the Massachusetts behavioral healthcare system.

If you are considering becoming trained to lead NAMI family courses or serve as a family support group facilitator, feel free to join us for this annual gathering. Training sessions for those positions are likely to be set for some time this fall. Take advantage of this opportunity to speak with current volunteers about their roles in NAMI’s mission. You’ll find deep commitment, meaningful connection, and strong satisfaction in giving back and helping others.

The lake and our gracious hosts are in Littleton MA, and we will get together on Saturday, July 19th from 4:00-7:00 PM, rain or shine. We’ll grill and pass pot luck dishes. Current volunteers will receive an email invitation.
