A NAMI Sweater
Susan Sullivan wanted to take an in person NAMI Family to Family class, so this fall she drove the hour and a half from her home in Sherborn MA to the in person course in Winchester MA. The eight week Saturday morning course was offered in tandem by the Cambridge Middlesex and Central Middlesex affiliates with course leaders Elizabeth Fong and Maureen Donovan, a tried and true teaching team.
To keep herself relaxed during the 2.5 hour class time, Sue knitted during all eight sessions. . . a good example of a self care activity. According to course leader Maureen, Sue was “a wonderful engaging participant,” and all the class members were “engaging with one another from the-get-go.”
Sue finished the sweater during the 8th week of the class and wore it to the final session on November 1st. Sue calls her creation, “My NAMI Sweater.” The cow on the front represents her Sherborn country roots.
Thanks for joining us for Family to Family, Sue!
