Scarecrow Contest, our 10th Anniversary!

Our annual “Stand Up to Stigma” Scarecrow Contest celebrates it’s 10th anniversary this year.! We’ve had so many entries with meaningful comments about mental health and so many just-plain-fun scarecrows! A few entries from 2024 are featured above. Thanks for your participation and support!!

Again this year, individuals, organizations, and businesses are invited to participate by creating a scarecrow. Stop by the Cucurbit farmstand at 32 Parker St. in Acton to pick up your scarecrow frame, $25 donation requested. Then bring your family friendly, not scary, creation back to the farmstand. The scarecrows start going up October 1st, and the public votes for their favorite entry throughout the month. Winners announced November 1st. Feel free to have your scarecrow promote your organization or business.

Our goal is 100 scarecrows along the fence at Cucurbit Farm and many conversations about mental health! Plan to make a scarecrow in September, and stop by in October to vote for your favorite. Try the corn maze too. Tell a friend!
